Deuxième carré en soie vintage issu de la collection printemps-été 2012 (je vous avais déjà présenté celui-là) : Rendez-vous Rive Gauche.
Ce dessin est apparu en novembre 2010 à l'occasion de l'ouverture de la boutique Hermès située rue de Sèvres à Paris. Cette boutique est la première implantation de la vénérable maison rive gauche. Jusque-là, Hermès avait deux adresses, rive droite : Faubourg Saint Honoré et George V.
Le carré, sorti en 3 coloris, était en édition limitée et il est parti très vite. Les couleurs n'étant pas celles qui me vont, j'ai préféré passer mon tour... Et j'ai bien fait puisque le dessin est ressorti pour la collection de cet été.
J'aime particulièrement le mélange du bleu foncé (qui sera parfait avec un jean brut) et du caramel (couleur gold, barénia ou vache naturelle chez H). Et les touches de turquoise apportent une petite touche de peps. Enfin, ce carré est d'autant plus précieux à mes yeux que c'est un cadeau de mon mari !

This drawing appeared in November 2010 to mark the opening of the Hermes boutique Rue de Sèvres in Paris. This shop is the first implementation of the venerable house on the left bank. Until then, Hermes had two addresses, on the right bank: Faubourg Saint Honore and George V.
The scarf, which was released in 3 colors, was a limited edition and he left very quickly. The colors were not those that fit me, I preferred my turn ... And I did well because the design came out for this summer.
I especially like the mixture of dark blue (which will be perfect with denim) and caramel (color gold, barenia or vache naturelle at H). And the small spots of turquoise bring a boost touch. Last but not least, this scarf is all the more precious to me that this is a gift from my husband!

G did exceptionally well with his choice--and your modeling shows me how gorgeous this scarf is. I can't believe I decided against it while at H in Boston. Silly, silly me--it looks great with jeans, and that contrasting hem is amazing.

You make me laugh dear Catherine : for G a scarf is a scarf, he does not see the difference between all of them... so I had chosen the scarf and he went to the store to purchase it. It is how we do each time, so I am sure that the scarf will be my taste.
SupprimerI am sorry that you regret not having got this scarf when you were on the East Coast. As it is still in the collection, maybe it will appear again on H.com or, if you want, I can have a look in the Parisian stores for you.
The summer is quite cold in Paris, so unfortunately the jacket is not a decoration. I do not bother because hot temperatures in Paris is awful in my opinion. Last week-end, we were near Lyon in the countryside and the only clothes that was wearable is a light cotton dress ! So, I am not anxious about the temperatures in August for you holidays in the West South of France !

SupprimerQuant à Comptoir des Cotonniers, effectivement, je trouve toujours quelques pièces qui me vont chez eux, même si je n'approuve pas l'ensemble des collections. C'est selon moi, une marque assez créative, de bonne qualité et qui n'est pas hors de prix.

I need to focus my attention on contrast hems , as I much prefer them to borders : more lively and modern.
You have a marvellous eye for what suits you , here in England it's a very sad fact that most women have either no idea what suits them or choose to ignore it !
I had not noticed the beauty of this scarf when I read the booklet (which shows the red colorway), it is just when seeing it in the real life at H boutique in the navy color that it kept my eyes. Like you, I am particularly fan of the contrasting hem ! The hem gives a pop of color and a little twist and a modern touch to the scarf.
