Today, my last acquisition : Les Poneys de Polo, from SS 2010 collection. I have found this brand-new scarf in a consignment store, it comes from the last January sales in Paris. For once, I had decided not to go the the sales... and finally I got 3 scarves from this sale in different places (on-line and off-line) : Les Poneys de Polo and Les Sangles de Phoebus in 90 cm twill silk and Kelly en Perles 140 cm silk shawl!
When I saw this scarf on my computer's screen a couple of weeks ago, I knew it will be perfect for my carnation, without needing to try it, because I have an Ex-Libris en Camouflage pochette in the same tones and it is radiant on me (even in the dull winter)!
Besides the colorway, I am particularly in love with the geometric shapes on the border of the scarf.

Sorry for my absence , I had a lot of work these past few weeks, but I am not forgetting my blog!

  1. Dear, dear Scarfmoodist,

How perfect! Perfect! You are right--it fits so beautifully with your complexion, and it will positively glow by late spring. What a bright vision you must make in the streets of Paris (is it all grey again?). In addition, I'm in love with your boutons de manchette. I acquired an AF top that needs them, and this is inspiration to go on a hunt. Thank you.

Indeed, overall you look divine. You wear white so well. I feel like it's time to take a walk in the countryside or in a garden when I look at you.

Clapping with joy for the business. I've been hoping you and DH are doing well. Please say hi to him for us.

Last, did you say a 140cm Perles?? Oh la la. That must be a heavenly piece to wear. Can't wait to see it on you.

Missing you and all the laughs, AA

  2. Thank you dear Catherine!
You tempt me a lot with your walk in the countryside... The weather in Paris is not mild as it seems to be when I see your recent pictures. I would love going outside without a coat...
You have inspired me a lot with your horn pendants. I had enough scarves but not enough pendants... so I acquired a chartreuse Lift (witch matches perfectly with my new giant Kelly en Perles and fabulous with dark tops or dresses) and two Isthmes : a coral one and a periwinkle blue one ! With these three pendants, I can play with my scarves...
I will answer to your request about the KenP, it will be my next post in a few days.

As I see that you are cooking a lot in that time, I will send you the recipe of artichokes pasta that you read in my italian cooking book. It is my allusion to the Women day ;-)

I miss you too. Say hello to MP for us.

  3. Yes, it's been truly beautiful for a few days. Real spring--and walks in the pasture without even a jacket sometimes. But a fierce storm blew in and I'm cold again--looking forward to next week when it warms up.

I'm so thrilled to hear about all this horn! I don't think I've seen this periwinkle blue or this coral. I will need names! And I find the charteuse gorgeous--been feeling a big temptation on that one, although I think another color (the hot pink, I think "Grenade") would be better for me. I will be casting admiring looks your way!

  4. Yay to yellow scarves! I don't know why they seem to have fallen out of fashion ... this one suits you particularly well.

  5. AA, I have never seen the Grenade color, on H website there is different colors of pink : "Blush" (dark pink) and "Rose Pagode" (real pink) for the Lift, "Rose Ronsard" (more violet) for the Isthme.

You are right Bienchen, the yellow scarves are unfairly forgotten! It is like wearing the sunshine in a way...
