First days of sun and heat after more than one month of everyday rain. So, it was the perfect time to get a summer dress out of my closet and go to the swimming-pool. And the opportunity to show you my new bracelet (but from an old collection) and a necklace that has been never pictured on the blog yet.
The bracelet called "Lolipo" is perfect for my wardrobe : black, grey and light sky blue. I already imagine it pairing with my Femme aux Semelles de Vent 90 carré next fall. But I will have to wait a little bit before trying that combo. As much as I love wearing Quadrige as a belt in the hot season, as La Femme aux Semelles de Vent does not please me worn like that because the folding shows the center part of the scarf that is not my favorite one - I prefer the borders : the scrolls and the tiger skin print make me crazy.
Speaking about the necklace, it is the "Agora" which no longer exists in this size - 120 cm - it is only available in 160 cm now. I have two silver necklaces : this one and the Farandole in 160 cm. After acquiring the Farandole, I was hesitant to sell the Agora but the two necklaces do not overlap, each has a different result.
Finally, the chiffon stole, you already know it, since I wore it here. And the Goyard bag, for the first time in action, I show it here.
On my feet - that DH has not caught on camera - I was wearing white low Converses during the day that I changed to a pair of black ballet shoes Repetto for dinner.
La piscine! Finally you get to go!
RépondreSupprimerThe Agora is magnificent. I wondered what you thought about having two long silver necklaces, so thank you for mentioning this. I try not to have two accessories that serve the same function, like you, so I'm intrigued that you find them different. The Agora certainly *feels* different--more solid, weightier, yet more casual. Hmmmm. This image is going to tease and tempt me. I look too often at the Hermès silver necklaces--and now I have another excuse.
Perfect mousseline. What a treasure that is. Beautiful bangle. And the Goyard! I think it was your picture last summer that had me "licking the windows" of Goyard on St-Honoré last winter. I find that red so vibrant, and I adore that relaxed look it conveys.
Another thing that strikes me is the relaxed lines of your summer dresses, which is exemplified wonderfully here. I think this is something that French labels do *particularly well*. And the fact you can take this gray one from casual (Converse) to dressy (Repetto) is blowing my mind.
The Agora is less long but the great difference is that is a necklace in "one loop" (you can not open it) so there is only one way to wear it, very simply. So it is perfect for a daily use. Because its shorter size, its is less heavy, which is not a detail when I plan to worn the necklace all the day - I am very sensitive to the weight of a necklace, my neck doesn't like heavy pieces. In the other hand, the Farandole is great to make a look more dressy or to play a hippie look, because of its length the double (or the triple) loop is compulsory.

RépondreSupprimerThank you!!!
SupprimerWhat a lovely fresh look you have , just perfect with those delicious H pieces too .
RépondreSupprimerI love pale grey , it's summery but never 'girly' . A certain taupe too, I find lovely for Summer.
I like the fact that these pale neutrals can look so different according to the accessories.
I've never had any luck in Comptoir :a shame as you always look great in their dresses.
I bought a lot of American Vintage 2 years ago , in greys , taupes and still love wearing it . The floaty fine cotton does not work well with Hermes twill silk ....I need a mousseline !
The pale grey is one of my favorite color. I can wear it all year around and the color is matching perfectly with most of the colors, so it is perfect when looking for clothes to pair with scarves or shawls.
SupprimerI think that Comptoir is less great that it was a few years ago. I was very disappointed by the recent collections. I have only found very few pieces, whereas the whole collection was tempting me before.
